You Tuber abuses her dog!  Today I was alerted by my youngest daughter to a disturbing  noteworthy event that is trending right now amongst the social media glitterati and news channels.   A certain Brooke Houts acclaimed dog lover and passer on of advice about her dog, has unfortunately fallen foul of her adoring and if I'm honest, misguided audience. I have blogged before about how people are easily manipulated and often overlook what is right there in front of them. Advertisers use it all the time to trick us into thinking that we are/could be just like the people portrayed. This thing they use...GLAMOUR! We like pretty things! end of conversation.... Unfortunately there are an awful lot of pretty people that have worked this out and now use it for themselves, I have nothing against beauty at all, nothing. But it is the way we as a population of followers, always bypass common sense and caution when someone with a certain look says something in public

 When Modern Culture and Popularity Destroy Breeds.  I remember about 35 years ago, it may be more now actually wow!, any way approximately 35 years ago I had a Rottweiler as a pet and I had been after one for about 2 years. A s any good caring dog owner should, I had done my research, would this dog be compatible with my lifestyle? could I give it everything it needed? did I have the resources, both time and financial, to look after this breed of dog? The answer was a big YES! After further research on breeders I read in the canine papers and magazines (remember those days before the internet??) who were known in the dog world as successful breeders and the kind of aftercare they offered, I eventually tracked down a very prominent breeder of Dobermans and Rottweilers about an hour and a half drive away with, you guessed it a litter ready to be picked prior to leaving mum in a couple of weeks later.
