You Tuber abuses her dog! 

Today I was alerted by my youngest daughter to a disturbing

 noteworthy event that is trending right now amongst the social media glitterati and news channels. 

A certain Brooke Houts

acclaimed dog lover and passer on of advice about her dog, has unfortunately fallen foul of her adoring and if I'm honest, misguided audience.

I have blogged before about how people are easily manipulated and often overlook what is right there in front of them.

Advertisers use it all the time to trick us into thinking that we are/could be just like the people portrayed.

This thing they use...GLAMOUR!

We like pretty things! end of conversation....

Unfortunately there are an awful lot of pretty people that have worked this out and now use it for themselves, I have nothing against beauty at all, nothing.

But it is the way we as a population of followers, always bypass common sense and caution when someone with a certain look says something in public on social media then that is taken as complete fact and is thereby the truth.

I was firstly made aware of this when my children would spout some inane comment heard on a social platform as absolute gospel truth and when I questioned them about it the offered reaction was normally, 'so and so said it on (whatever platform)' and I would reply back, who is this 'so and so?' "he/she's a blogger/vlogger" oh right..." how old are they?" I would ask..."16" came the reply...????...or I would be a little more interested and actually view the article/video/photo and invariably the creator would be an over edited glamourous cool looking creature barely out of puberty!

So, Beauty = Truth in the eyes of many!

So am I surprised at the undoing of Brook Houts? not really, she has many You Tube subscribers and is obviously making money, but the main thing is she is not real...as in what she pertains to objectively portray on her channel is not a real life outlook on how she really looks after her dog.

Was this a big mistake to upload unedited footage??? undoubtedly, I would expect advertisers to pull away from her channel now as the vitriol rains down from outraged commentators and this will more than likely be the downfall for this woman and her channel.

At the time of writing she has amassed 327,987 YouTube subscribers with millions of views to her videos...How? well I'm afraid she has beauty on her side so it must be true!

I will leave you this...and I quote directly from her channel introduction under the picture I have used above...

"Hey my name is BROOKE HOUTS and if you're reading this congratulations you can read."

So as I shake my head and wonder about popularity versus the truth I only hope that the dog remains safe...
