Are Malinois Good Guard Dogs? Security Dog Training UK We often find that a short video showing and or explaining helps the student visualise what we have been talking about. After what to them seems like a long time in the classroom or watching various stages of a training procedure being broken down into bite size steps, can often become a little fuzzy, especially when a new student is around a dog that can be intimidating as it locks on to a bite sleeve or jacket, snarling and foaming at the mouth. So we go through a video with them to show and point out the details in a calm environment, where we can answer any questions the student may have. Well here's the thing, as an owner I know what they are really like, I'm not here to sell you one or say how wonderful they look or how they are so good at agility, nope, I'm going to tell you the truth behind the headlines.  As a 'normal' house pet dog then the Malinois is not the right breed for you. it is all to do with the breeds lineage, what it was bred to do, it is a herding/
