[Vent] My dog has early kidney failureDog Talks

The veterinarian diagnosed my dog with Stage 1 kidney failure. I know he's getting old now but it's just so hard to hear because well he's my dog. He's so energetic and spry for 8 years old but the vet telling me he's sick is so devestating. He doesn't look sick. I wish the vet was lying but that's just me avoiding the issue. I'm slowly accepting that my dog has this illness but at least it's treatable with medicine. I don't like this feeling this way. I don't want him to leave me but that's what all dog owners have to go through eventually. Tears and all, I'm going to love him til the bittersweet end. I hate 2020.
