[Discussion] Water fountain hackDog Talks

(I thought this up myself and I'm very proud of my very modest accomplishment that probably isn't as original as I think. Please play along, thx. ;-)

I wanted to get a water fountain for my dog to drink from, since she kept trying to drink from the one I got for the cats. But my dog is very large and has a very large head, and the extra-large stainless steel pet fountains are kind of expensive and the pump part seems to take up most of the space in the bowl.

I bought an aquarium pump for $20, got a big metal pot out of the cupboard, filled the pot with water and dropped in the pump. Boom! Big fancy pet fountain for 20 bucks. Every 2 or 3 days I take the pump out and wash it off, and put the pot in the dishwasher and fill up a different pot. So easy and the dog loves it.
