When asked this question I often have to stifle a chuckle, I know I shouldn't but I often do, why? well because I know from that initial question I have to seriously judge the person asking it.
The Belgian Malinois is one of the most intelligent dog breeds there is.
Look around at who has them!...I mean... take a look!...
Just about every law enforcement agency in the world for a start, now would they be using a dog breed that wasn't intelligent?
But in all honesty I would suggest that the Malinois was perhaps not the best dog breed for them to look at owning and that more research was needed on their part.

If you wanted something a little more 'Hardcore' and genetically sound than the old favourite the German Shepherd, then I could not recommend the Belgian Malinois more highly.
