I have two dogs, a 5-year-old husky, and a 1.5-year-old golden retriever. When I got the golden, I expected him to be as large as my husky, but that was not the case. He ended up being the smallest of his litter at 56cm to his withers. On the other hand, my husky stands at 64cm, quite larger. They get along quite well, of course, the dominant one is the husky, but the golden doesn't mind, and they are in a stable hierarchy. So the other day I was in the dog park with both of them, my husky was lying by my side, as he doesn't like to play with other dogs. The Golden was playing with a border collie quite happily when a boxer tried to get forcibly into the game and started a quarrel with my golden. My Husky immediately got up and got between my golden and the boxer while barking. The boxer got away, and my husky came to my side. It warmed my heart to know that my husky looks for my Golden like a big brother. Do you guys have similar stories? PD: obligatory dog tax Subm...
